UPD: напоминают, что событие было опять историческое: впервые primary выиграл еврей. В Айове тоже историю делали – там впервые выиграла женщина с одной стороны и латино с другой. Высока вероятность, что тенденция сохранится до ноября и выборы выиграет самый хреновый кандидат за всю американскую историю. Только еще не знаю, какой именно.
UPD: посчитали чуть больше половины. Единственное изменение – Круз слегка обошел Буша.

His victory wasn't because he had more money or more prestigious endorsements or more valuable connections or more political experience. Maybe he defeated the establishment-backed candidate because he touched some hot-button issues that the grassroots care about but are ignored or even belittled by the mainstream media.

Как и анекдотические свидетельства знаменитого типа "не понимаю, как Никсон выиграл, из моих знакомых за него никто не голосовал".
