A Minnesota gym company has banned cable news channels from televisions in front of workout machines in order to keep with their philosophy of a “healthy way of life.”

Life Time Fitness, which operates 128 fitness clubs through the United States and Canada, removed CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and CNBC from its televisions, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Я о себе всё давно понял: мне необходимо внешнее дисциплинирующее начало. Поэтому занимался/юсь в библиотеке/пр. подходящих местах, физ. нагрузки - в спортзале или пешим дралом с работы в тёплую погоду километров сколько получится, благо детей в доме нет и развозить/отслеживать никого не надо, время не давит.
Дома не делаю почти ничего - не могу себя заставить, беда.

Т.е., я никогда бы не смог работать из дома и поражаюсь какие люди дисциплинированные на свете бывают. :(

! i am - of a mixed variety. i could never study in a library - the atmosphere there gets me. i can socialize there or just go wool-gathering. but not studying. i study fine at home. hey, congrat me, i am now tripple - boarded, they built up this new board and i decided to take it. but i was afraid ( no exams for a long time) - and did actually study quite a bit. but i could not do it even in my office...

D. works and works out at home. very disciplined, military-like.
