Biden was nonconsequential, a ceremonial figure, and Obama was a bureaucrat first and foremost. so as far as harm done - there sure was some, particularly his executive decisions, and the Middle East mess, indeed - but none of that was so extraordinary as to either destroy whatever we have left of democracy, nor to nudge the wheel of history. plus he was lazy. even lazier than Dubya who was notorious for "when is this going to end, finally" attitude and extra vactions.

so, we survived these years with tooth-grinding but without major irreversible damage. and with a modicum of condescending pride - look, a blackish family in the White House!

if McCain/Palin ticket won (I sat out that election in disgust) - we would have an active, not lazy, aggressive idiot at the helm. it was funny how people attacked Sara. yes, she is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she is smarter than her running mate, though just as impulsive. and they call Trump impulsive!

While mostly true... Obama/Biden/Clinton mostly destroyed foreign policy, across the globe btw not just in the Middle East.

Domestically we do have the no-longer-affordable health insurance policy, that is not getting reversed any time soon.

But more importantly we have blatant disregard for laws at all levels of federal government. Obama/Biden made it not only acceptable to use IRS/FBI/CIA/NSA on political opponents, they made fully expected, that conservative organizations are prosecuted above and beyond the law, while democrats get a free pass.

Obama&Co mostly destroyed the system of checks and balances, infiltrating corruption, party rules the state, and racial tension (which was minimal and declining for decades before him) as he started to pay racial card.

bad things in particular:
foreign: total mess in middle east (Lybia, Syria, Iran, push-pull Iraq - all these solely his faults), Russia was just laughing at peregruzka
domestic: total corruption in political field: eric holder, loretta lynch, IRS against political opponents, Fast&Furious, Obamacare lies and total failure as predicted, Uranium One to name a few.
