Про давешний indictment

Помимо сомнительных игр с термином "interference", ко вчерашнему indictment'у, возможно, могут быть и другие претензии. Какой-то калифорнийский адвокат пишет, что мюллеровское обвинение и с юридической точки зрения выглядит небезупречно.

Mueller chose his targets because he knows they will never appear in court, never contest the charges, and cannot be arrested or extradited as Russian citizens. Mueller’s unprecedented prosecution raises three novel arguments: first, that speaking out about American politics requires a foreign citizen to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act; second, that speaking out about American politics requires a foreign citizen list their source and expenditure of funding to the Federal Election Commission; and third, that mistakes on visa applications constitute “fraud” on the State Department. All appear to borrow from the now-discredited “honest services” theories Mueller’s team previously used in corporate and bribery cases, cases the Supreme Court overturned for their unconstitutional vagueness. The indictment raises serious issues under the free speech clause of the First Amendment and due process rights under the Fifth Amendment.

Уровень этих претензий оценить не могу, но ссылку на память оставлю. Приведенная цитата - заключение статьи про то, что при мюллеровском подходе настоятельно необходимо предъявлять такое же обвинение автору знаменитого досье Стилу, а также всем, кто ему это досье заказал и оплатил, от Fusion GPS до штаба Клинтон - и почему Мюллер такое обвинение Стилу не предъявит.

UPD: в Атлантике пишут про то же самое, но в точности в противоположную сторону.

была только информация что было выдано "по ошибке" несколько тысяч гринкард и непонятно сколько непонятных виз

и тишина

а мне представляется что это очень важно - потому что мало того что понятно что совершенно не те люди попали внутрь, но и это совершенно интересный коррупции

Это в Африке турки организовали поддельное консульство США и выдавали визы за приличные деньги. Причем бланки были настоящие...
