Про защиту свободы слова
Во Флориде приняли закон, запрещающий социальным сетям банить политических кандидатов.
В ответ пара лоббистских организаций подала в суд. Они оспаривают этот закон на том основании, что он нарушает свободу слова - в виде права этих самых социальных сетей решать, кому разговаривать можно, а кому нельзя.
То есть Флорида, запрещая фейсбукам с твиттерами цензуру, тем самым пытается их цензурировать. А свобода, как давно известно, это рабство. Вообще слова больше ничего не значат.

Two tech grade groups filed a lawsuit Thursday against Florida over a newly signed law that would fine social media platforms that try to permanently ban political candidates.
The complaint filed by NetChoice and the Computer and Communications Industry Association (CCIA) allege the Florida bill infringes on free speech protections and has a “political motive” to target companies based on the state’s opinion on companies’ content moderation decisions.
“Rather than preventing what it calls ‘censorship,’ the Act does the exact opposite: it empowers government officials in Florida to police the protected editorial judgment of online businesses that the State disfavors and whose perceived political viewpoints it wishes to punish,” the complaint states.

То есть Флорида, запрещая фейсбукам с твиттерами цензуру, тем самым пытается их цензурировать. А свобода, как давно известно, это рабство. Вообще слова больше ничего не значат.

Должна - что имеется в виду? Вы хотите чтоб так было или закон требует?
Закон на самом деле требует ровно обратного: граждане Калифорнии и примкнувшие к ним пользователи фейсбука имеют право на свободу слова, точка.
А считать базовой ценностью право телефонной компании прерывать мой разговор с вами как только произнесено ключевое слово Трамп - у меня не поднимается ни рука, ни нога. Уж извините.

Закон не свят сам по себе, просто потому что он закон.
