Назначения Трампа вывели на поверхность реальный смысл происходящего, во всяком случае, разговоров по делу в левой ленте стало гораздо больше. Не видно больше яростных разбирательств, кому Харрис надо было давать интервью или как именно притворяться умеренной, чтобы больше народу поверило. Вся эта сиюминутная тактика пропала с горизонта. Теперь разговоры идут на тему, кто в стране главный - сообщество опытных экспертов-технократов, вооруженных беззаветной верой в науку и административным положением, позволяющим принимать точные и своевременные решения, - или всякая сволочь, которую сдуру выбирает электорат, по тупости и неграмотности не слушающий упомянутых экспертов.

А то эта сволочь, вместо того, чтобы послушно следовать указанным экспертами курсом, норовит загнать опытных администраторов под командование сволочи еще похуже, которая ни дня в своей жизни не была правильным бюрократом. Или вообще экспертов разогнать, невзирая на бесценный административный опыт.

Захватывающий дискурс, очень демократический.

The compromise deal was agreed by consensus at the Universal Postal Union's emergency congress after two days of talks, with delegates standing to applaud. The Trump administration served notice last October that it would leave in 12 months unless fee rates were changed so that importing countries did not lose money from distributing mail and packages from countries including China in the age of e-commerce. Under the agreement, high-volume importers of mail and packages would be allowed to begin imposing "self-declared rates" for distributing foreign mail from January 2021. There is a five-year period for phasing in new fees.

March 9, 2021 — The U.S. got its way and will pay less in subsidies to the Universal Postal Union. Chinese news reports indicate that the changes mean China will pay a lot more in subsidies to have its small parcels delivered abroad — a 27% increase in 2020. Between 2020 and 2025, logistical costs for exporting small parcels from China are expected to increase 164%.
